Simon is an arbitrator with a focus on general commercial, construction, engineering, energy, commodities, and investment treaty arbitrations; and an environmental, health and safety (HSE) specialist with over 13 years’ experience in risk management and legislative compliance in construction and engineering, oil and gas, railways, manufacturing, telecommunications, and facility management contracts. More recently he has advised on thirty-two LCIA arbitrations involving multimillion dollars contract disputes, as an international commercial arbitration consultant.

Simon’s most recent HSE practice covers advising Chinese, South African, and German multinationals (Yaunda-Europe, Atalian Servest and Hochtief), UK businesses (Wettons & London Southeastern Railways, C & A Facàdes, Skyline Ltd, Geerox Duct Services, M Price Ltd, MJ Quins) and Nigerian businesses (Chillin Oil & Gas Resources, Chilling Civil Engineering). Simon is regularly called upon by clients to provide expert reports and recommendations for complex accident investigations and health and safety failure cases for arbitrations and litigations. Previously, Simon has held roles within the construction, railways, manufacturing and engineering sectors as a HSE manager, lead auditor, construction manager, Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) licensed trainer, construction and railways engineering assessor.
